Hi! My name is Judy Salmon and I
am very proud to be a Child Care Provider. I have been a licensed Child Care
Provider since 1986.
I grew up in Omaha and graduated
from Burke High School. I started nursing school but found that my heart was in
the field of Child Care. I have taken a few courses on Child Development
through Metro Tech for my own interest and curiosity.
A licensed Child Care Provider is
required by the state of Nebraska to participate in 12 hours per year of ongoing
education to maintain their Child Care license. I average about 24 hours per
year. I am CPR and First Aid Trained.
I belong to Midwest Child Care,
Omaha Child Care and Omaha Childcare Connection.
I am the proud mom of six
beautiful children. All of whom are rapidly leaving the nest, it is true, that
they grow up before you know it! I have had many people tell me now I should go
get a “real” job. To which I quickly smile and inform them I am doing exactly
what I know I was born to do.
I spend my days looking at cute
little faces and hearing all day “I love you, Judy…you’re so pretty!” in those
cute little chipmunk voices. Who wouldn’t want my job?
I am what you would describe a
home body. I love to do crafts, scrapbook and read. I also run and lift weights
in our home gym.
I am happily married to my husband
Brian who works at Union Pacific. We are both very involved at our church. We
attend Westside, here in Omaha.
I strive to provide a nurturing
and secure environment for young children. Children can safely explore, learn,
play, and develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
I believe in encouraging healthy
habits and although productive routines are a must, I also value the opportunity
of giving each child the warmth and comfort of loving them individually.
Love, understanding, patience,
guidance and training must be provided by parents and if Child Care is needed,
by one consistent care giver. A commitment of this type of care will mold a
precious child for a lifetime. |
